Who we are

Duedsites is a web design and development studio operated by Johan Berlin (Uppsala, Sweden) and Charlie Houghton (Murcia, Spain). We can be reached at johan@duedsites.com or charlie@duedsites.com.

What data we collect

We collect only the information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Your name and email address when you contact us about a project
  • Any business details you share during our project conversations
  • Content, assets, and materials you provide for us to build your website

We do not collect data through forms, trackers, or cookies on this website. We do not use any third-party analytics on this site.

How we use your data

We use your information solely to:

  • Communicate with you about your project
  • Deliver the services you have engaged us for
  • Send invoices and manage project administration

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Where applicable, we process your personal data on the basis of:

  • Contract performance — to fulfil a project agreement with you
  • Legitimate interests — to communicate and manage our business relationship
  • Legal obligation — where required by law (e.g. tax and financial records)

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined here, or as required by applicable law. Project-related communications are typically kept for up to 5 years for accounting and legal purposes.

Your rights

If you are based in the EU or EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (where no legal obligation requires us to keep it)
  • Object to or restrict how we process your data
  • Request a portable copy of your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at johan@duedsites.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Terms of Service

Overview

These terms govern all web design and development projects undertaken by Duedsites. By engaging our services you agree to the terms below. If you have questions before starting, please ask — we're happy to clarify anything.

Scope of work

Each project begins with a written agreement outlining what will be built, the timeline, and the price. Work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and quoted separately before proceeding. We will never add charges without your approval.

Client responsibilities

To keep your project on track, we ask that you:

  • Provide all content (text, images, branding) within the agreed timeframe
  • Give feedback at review stages in a timely manner
  • Designate a single point of contact on your side for decisions

Significant delays caused by late content or feedback may affect the project timeline.

Revisions

Each project includes a set number of revision rounds as agreed upfront. Revisions are understood as adjustments within the original scope — not additions of new features or sections. Additional revisions beyond the agreed amount will be quoted and invoiced separately.

Payment

Payment terms are outlined in the individual project agreement. Typically, a deposit is required before work begins, with the remainder due upon project completion. We reserve the right to pause work on overdue accounts.

Intellectual property

Upon receipt of full payment, all rights to the completed website and its design are transferred to you. Until payment is received in full, Duedsites retains ownership of all work produced. We reserve the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.

Confidentiality

We treat all client information as confidential. We will not share your business details, content, or any information you provide with third parties, except where required to deliver your project (e.g. a hosting provider you have selected).

Limitation of liability

Duedsites is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of a website we have built. Our total liability in any matter is limited to the amount paid for the specific project in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with Swedish law, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time a project agreement is signed governs that engagement. We will always notify active clients of any material changes.
